We have found a kickin' new restaurant in College Station. Mickey's Sliders. It is without a doubt my new favorite place to go. They greet you with a "Welcome to Mickey's! Have you been here before?" Now, we can officially say, "yes!" We're in the club.

Daydreaming of sliders...
The menu is small but has everything you could possibly think of in slider form. The first time Collin and I went I forgot my camera - rookie blogger mistake. But this time I was ready to roll. When we walked in we made a bee-line to order our sliders. I decided on the Sam Houston and the Lonestar. I cannot get enough of the Lonestar it is a perfect blend of their homemade BBQ sauce and pulled pork topped with crispy friend onion rings. I have to get the Lonestar everytime I go. It's freaking delicious. The Sam Houston is a delicious concoction of marinated steak, spicy pepper jack cheese, sauteed poblano peppers and onions smothered in a white cheddar sauce. That one kind of reminded me of a Philly cheese steak. Now, while I am biased towards the Lonestar the Sam Houston was pretty darn tasty too.
Collin went for the Jerry Garcia and the Soul Slider. The Jerry Garcia is a slider topped with Portobello mushrooms, goat cheese, spinach, and finished off with an olive tapenade and balsamic reduction sauce. But Collin's favorite by far was the Soul Slider which is fried chicken on a waffle bun which you then pour butter maple syrup sauce on top. It is messy, crunchy, and deliciously good.

Mickey's Sliders is the kind of place you can go on a date or a night out with friends. They serve a home grown beer from College Station which is pretty darn tasty - and that is from someone that is not fan of most beers. The atmosphere is laid back and local. Just my kind of spot.
