The Bones of Paris Book Review

The Bones of Paris Book Review

I am halfway through my current read which is called 'The Bones of Paris.'  Now I'll be honest with you, I am kind of on an anything Parisian kick and when I was perusing my local library in search of a new book I saw the word 'Paris' sticking out of the bookshelf and knew this was the book for me.  Yes, yes, I am one of those people that still goes to the library.  However antiquated that may be I love walking the aisles of my library in search of a new book.  I am not opposed to the Kindle or e-reader lot but it is still fun to hold a book in your hands.  I love the looks I get when I tell people I still visit the library.  They honestly look at me like I am from the 1900s.  It makes me giggle a bit.  But, I digress.

Finding a new book that pulls you in from the start and makes it difficult to put down is hard to do.  Luckily, after reading the inside cover it did sound interesting.  Far too many times I have chosen a book by its cover (see what I did there?) and it has let me down.  This time it worked.

Perfect Sunday

Perfect Sunday

It is a suspense/thriller set in 1920s Paris.  A private investigator is searching for a missing girl and must wade through the murky underbelly of Paris society and the surrealist artists that seem to hold the city in their hands.  I know having a 'mid book review' may sound a bit odd but I couldn't wait to let you guys know about it.  It is an excellent read that I can't wait to dive into more.  The rest of this Sunday will be spent with cups and cups of hot tea and the mysterious streets of Paris.  Enjoy the rest of the weekend!  Happy reading everyone.
