We woke up to an amazingly beautiful day in Krakow. It was so sunny, which is a rarity in Europe come wintertime. It was so warm I was able to ditch my coat most of the day.

I had read that the Corpus Christi Basilica in Krakow was a must visit. We arrived to a sunshine filled courtyard.

The church had a sign that said no pictures were allowed inside. I always get a bit bummed because I want to take pictures to capture the memory. But other times I realize that when I'm not able to take pictures I am able to really immerse myself in the moment.

This was one of those times. The moment we walked in we were greeted by a blast of cold air in the stone-filled church. My jaw dropped as I looked around. This church was one of the most beautiful spaces I had ever seen. Collin and I were completely silent the whole time we walked around. I felt in awe of the space around me.

We stayed longer in that church that we have anywhere on our trip. I lit a candle at the alter as a thank you for allowing us to enter that holy space.

We walked out into the sunshine overcome with emotion and ready to see more of this incredible city.

We walked around finding our way to the outskirts of Krakow.

We then made our way to Krakus Mound. We had to jump a few fences and walk up a very muddy path as we took a strange detour to get there but it gave us awesome views of the city.

We also met a fellow Aggie on top of the hill. She spotted Collin's A&M shirt. She had recently graduated and was teaching kindergarten in Russia!

After having our fill of the great, and very windy views, we walked back to the center of town across Lovers Bridge.

We didn't have a lock to leave but we found one we could snap a picture with.

We walked to our Airbnb to relax a bit and grab our coats as the temperature was dropping. We headed to Old Town to explore the beautiful town square that is now a UNESCO world heritage site. It is the largest medieval town square in Europe. It has an incredibly imposing vibe and is an amazing site to see.

Laying on its side in Old Town is what people affectionately refer to as "The Head" or "Eros Bendato" that is the work of Polish artist Igor Mitoraj.

The next day we were greeted with more sun and made our way back to Warwel Castle. We weren't able to take pictures inside but Collin and I would definitely recommend visiting the armory and main rooms. You are able to pay individually for the parts of the castle you want to see.

We then made our way over to the chapel that sits in the courtyard and made our way to the top of the bell tower. Because if there are steep stairs to climb in Europe we'll definitely find them.
